  'Copernicus' at The Planetarium

Set in the stunning 180 degree surrounds of the Skydome Theatre at the Melbourne Planetarium, Copernicus explores the life and work of Nicolaus Copernicus, the revolutionary medieval astronomer who claimed that Earth was not the centre of creation, but merely another planet orbiting the Sun. With seats reclining to 45 degrees, and unique staging allowing audiences to watch live physical theatre set against a spectacular overhead background of moving stars, imagery, and immersive soundscapes, this is a poignant, dreamlike trip inside the head of a brilliant mathematician who dared to suggest the impossible. A unique theatrical experience.
